Keep America Beautiful® is undoubtedly one such entity, and Office H2O is proud to be a supporter in 2024. With a laser focus on improving communities by reducing waste and fostering clean, green, and beautiful public spaces, Keep America Beautiful has become a beacon for civic-minded individuals and companies looking to make a tangible difference. This is more than just an environmental push—it’s a movement to create places worthy of pride.

History and Impact

Formed in 1953, Keep America Beautiful was developed to address the escalating problem of roadside litter in America. Community improvement became the ethos upon which the organization was built, recognizing that a cleaner environment bolsters human dignity and quality of life. It also fosters community pride! From its inception, Keep America Beautiful implemented a multifaceted approach encompassing community action, public education, as well as working hand in hand with civic leaders and local governments.

The impact of this organization’s strategies, ranging from “littering is wrong” campaigns to today’s nationwide focus on recycling and waste reduction, align perfectly with our mission as a company dedicated to reducing plastic bottle usage and waste. Through consistent messaging and tailored programs, Keep America Beautiful has significantly reduced littering and opened the public’s eyes to the importance of environmental stewardship, especially right here in our own backyards.

Community Clean-Ups

The Great American Cleanup®, one of Keep America Beautiful’s most impactful initiatives, stands as a testament to the power of collective action in fostering healthier, more vibrant communities. Launched annually in the spring, this nationwide program mobilizes hundreds of thousands of volunteers across the country to participate in a variety of activities aimed at beautifying parks, streets, and waterways.

From planting trees and flowers to removing litter and recycling waste, the Great American Cleanup encompasses a broad spectrum of community improvement projects. This year’s program will run from March 19 to June 20, 2024.  

Educational Campaigns
