Words on Water Podcast

The Words on Water podcast was created by the Water Environment Federation (WEF). WEF is a nonprofit organization providing technical education and training for water quality professionals. They keep the water we use every day clean before safely returning it to the environment. On the Words on Water podcast, enlightening conversations are held with “influential and interesting people from across the water sector.”

One fascinating episode of the Words on Water podcast is found in episode 38. In this episode, Al Cho, Xylem’s Vice President of Advanced Infrastructure Analytics, discusses the increasing use of smart technologies in the water infrastructure field. Presented in collaboration with Bluefield Research, the Water Values podcast is hosted by Dave McGimpsey, a Water, Energy & Utility Partner at Dentons. In this water podcast, water issues from a variety of perspectives are explored. The goal? To uncover the true value of water. The Water Values podcast’s topics regularly discussed include water utilities, water resources, water treatment, water reuse, and more.

Don’t skip this informational water podcast! One of our favorite episodes includes a discussion with Patricia Sinicropi, Executive Director of the Water Reuse Association. In the episode, Sinicropi discusses the current state of water reuse, a tremendously important topic.

What’s Up With Water Podcast

Our next pick on our list of the top water podcasts for you to enjoy is the What’s Up With Water podcast. This weekly series was created by Circle of Blue, an international network of journalists and scientists seeking to unite “classic journalism, data literacy, and transformative connectivity” in a mission to inform the world’s “most important decisions about water, food, and energy in a changing climate.” There are few better choices for a water podcast that features need-to-know news on the state of water in our world. The What’s Up With Water podcast is highly respected in the environmental community and can be found on Soundcloud and Apple Podcasts.

Water You Talking About Podcast

Produced by a group of doctoral students as they research urban water technologies, the Water You Talking About podcast covers various topics while always keeping a focus on the water infrastructure of our nation. The podcast produces about one episode per month and covers breakthroughs in urban water technologies across four campuses: New Mexico State, Colorado School of Mines, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley. Suppose you are interested in what’s happening in the field of urban water technologies as it happens. In that case, there are few better water podcasts out there.

While the Stuff You Should Know podcast may not be focused entirely on water, it certainly has a lot to offer on the topic.
